
Come prepared
We’re excited for you to start your rotation!
There are a couple things that need to be completed or reviewed before you arrive:
- Please complete a Pre-Rotation Assessment to better guide our teaching.
- Review your Supportive Care Medicine Pharmacy Elective rotation description:
- Review and practice being able to give an Oral Patient Presentation
- Review Opioid Pocket Card
- You will receive a laminated copy during orientation, however we strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with the pocket card before starting as it will be used daily on rounds.
- Complete practice conversion problems in Chapters 1-4 in Demystifying Opioid Conversion Calculations, 2nd edition by Dr. McPherson.
- Review your calendar provided by your preceptor when received. Notify the attending with any scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.
- Select a Self-Reflection activity and discuss which activity selected during orientation.
- This is for your own personal growth and will not be used to assess your performance in any way.

Before you go
Approximately 2 days before the last day of your rotation, please complete the self-assessment portion of your end of rotation evaluation. Your preceptor will review your comments and prepare individualized feedback based on objectives outlined within your rotation description that incorporates your self-assessment.
